 Fundraising Strategies for Independent Filmmakers

Fundraising for indie filmmakers: strategies to fund your next project with Joanne Butcher: This workshop will focus on empowering independent filmmakers, from students to professionals, to produce their own projects. Many filmmakers believe their biggest challenge is finding investors. In reality, the challenge is understanding what investors look for and how to talk about a film as an investment. Learning objectives include: Understand how film investors evaluate opportunities, identify what investors find compelling in a film project, communicate your film clearly from an investor perspective, and approach investor conversations with greater confidence. The workshop includes a live Q&A, giving you the opportunity to ask questions and apply what you’re learning to your own project.
